That did not worked for me.

It opens an "open with" dialog which lists almost all apps I have, except Minecraft.

Any ideas?

Motorola Moto G Plus 2016 (Moto G4 plus)
Stock Nougat ROM.

PS: I'm using the latest update from Play Store (March 17 2017)

Hey, this is a bug tracker not a forum, also a world can't crash the game unless you go into it I think...

Comment by Katie Heart [ 25/Oct/16 ]

If Windows Phone is that awful, that makes a "super-corrupt" world that crashes Minecraft upon launch of the app 100% of the time impossible to fix compared to a factory reset or a device with such unlocked potential and "find that bug even easier than a locked-up device" ability (like this moderator has)

Such cheater

Sorry I completely forgot my lumia is rooted. Haven't used my lumia in a long while I completely forgot about it. That's why I'm able to access everything. Only been using it lately because of people having this issue. I'll continue to look into ways to fix the problem.

Downloaded Pocket File Manager, doesn't show me the folder either, maybe it doesn't work on Lumia 950?

Comment by Jason Hunt [ 24/Oct/16 ]

I have a lumia 640xl. You should be able move the file around i use pocket file manager. It gives me access to every folder.

Comment by HimbeersaftLP [ 24/Oct/16 ]

No, I can't, when using the file explorer from Microsoft it only shows me: Downloads, Documents, Pictures, Music and Ringtones. Are you sure you know what you say?

Comment by Jason Hunt [ 23/Oct/16 ]

You mean app folders in root? If you mean ones in storage like the mojang folder you can access it just have to find a file explorer in Windows store.

Comment by HimbeersaftLP [ 23/Oct/16 ]

Windows Phone doesn't give you access to app folders, just like iOS...

Comment by Jason Hunt [ 23/Oct/16 ]

Yes that folder is the stuff needed to run the map. If you put that folder in maps it should work. If it doesn't have the correct name just rename the folder to the correct map name so you know what it is later.

I tried: Renaming from .zip to .mcworld (because it saves as a zip), but it still doesn't open mcpe when clicking on it. When I extract it, it will just show me the folder-structure (pack-icon, pack-manifest, etc.)...

Comment by Jason Hunt [ 23/Oct/16 ]

I'm unable to keep my Windows phone going to try and find a solution, but when I find the solution i'll post it. Did you try to extract the file on Windows phone?

Comment by HimbeersaftLP [ 22/Oct/16 ]

Removing the dot fixed the problem on my Android tab, but it still doesn't work on my Windows Phone...

Comment by Katie Heart [ 22/Oct/16 ]

I'll be kind and say you got the wrong person you credited. Also thank you, Jason for the notice.

EDIT: It appears to be a .zip archive, so I'll put that out here.

Comment by Yanbar [ 22/Oct/16 ]

Katie Heart's fix worked.
You just have to remove every dot in the filename exept for the last one.

Comment by Jason Hunt [ 22/Oct/16 ]

Easy way to use this file treat it like an rar file. Use a rar app and extract it gives you folder you need. Put folder in worlds folder.

Comment by Rodrigo [ 22/Oct/16 ]

shukafu I also found this error with the dots. Not only the file name but all the folders that the file is in can not have dots in the name. But I noticed that this problem does not occur after you mark the minecraft as default application to open files .mcworld and .mcpack

Comment by wakafu mafuyuu [ 22/Oct/16 ]

just open the file (locate it using a file manager) make sure filename has only 1 dot in it example alien.mcworld and not alien.567.mcworld so you can open the mcworld file

Comment by Katie Heart [ 22/Oct/16 ]

Confirming. I also have a friend who has the same issue on another Android phone (unknown specs).

Version: MCPE 0.16.0
OS: Android 5.1.1 (Cyanogenmod ROM)
Device: Samsung Galaxy Note 4

I suspect the possible cause is that the file association was not set for .mcworld files via. MC:PE.

I've tried uninstalling and installing again with the games folder already renamed and have always had all my accounts set to not sync app data. I haven't tried "uninstall, full MCPE clean-up, restart device, install" at this time due to provide said friend wireless tethering at this time.
