 Description

The arrows with tipped potion effects no longer apply desired affect when shot at mobs.
What i expected to happen: i shot a mob with a healing arrow and it gets hurt because it is undead.
What actually happened: the mob took normal damage.
Steps on replication:
1. Aquire bow, arrows with tippedances effects (specifically healing), and an undead mob (I shot a pigman)
2. Shoot mob with said bow and arrows.
3. Observe bug.

Okay, thank you for clearing this up

Aspergerian, the first 2 things apply to the potion effects in general, and the 3rd doesn't fit under what this bug report is about, so I'll re-resolve this issue as WAI again, as the behavior described in this issue works as expected.

The witch-potion oddity you described has been reported as MCPE-20239; the regeneration-not-working-on-undead-mobs behavior is WAI; and finally, the instant-health-arrow thing was previously reported as MCPE-19631.

Only oddities I've noticed as of now;

-Witches aren't affected by poison.
-Tipped Arrows of Regeneration don't apply for undead mobs.
-Tipped Arrows of Instant Health are bounced/deflected off of undead mobs.

Aspergerian, just in case you don't know, spiders & undead mobs are supposed to be immune to poison. The ender dragon is also supposed to be immune to all status effects. Knowing this, could you list the valid cases of tipped arrows not working that are left in 1.0.4.1?

Will do some testing on this in current version

I tested it again, all the mobs that aren't affected are the following;

-ALL undead mobs
-Spiders
-Cave Spiders
-Witches
-Ender Dragon

All the other mobs do show signs of being affected though.

Reopening per Aspergerian's comment.

Please reopen this, I've tried inflicting Poison and Withered Tipped Arrows on all sorts of mobs, but they show no signs of being affected by said Tipped Arrows.

After some testing, I can confirm that tipped arrows DO apply their effects properly to mobs. The reason why the zombie pigman died from seemingly normally is because the arrow still does its normal damage along with whatever effect it applies. If you just barely chargea bow and shoot tipped healing arrows at an undead mob, you will notice that it dies with fewer shots than when you use regular arrows. If you use harming arrows, then the undead mob will never die unless you charge the bow enough to do more damage with the arrow than is being given by the harming effect. Closing this issue as WAI.
