 Description

Mass redstone torches randomly falling off sides of blocks if I exit the world and reopen it, doesn't do it all the time but when it does it... it does it with style.

I assumed it was only happening on chunk edges but this last massive redstone project has proven otherwise, this has been happening since way back when redstone arrived. I have tried to reproduce it but failed.
over 200 torches have fallen off this time

I tested it in the 1.2 beta and was unable to reproduce, even on chunk borders.

Does this bug still affect 1.2 beta?

I've tried to replicate this several times and simply cannot reproduce it. I even tried filling 40 sets of 100x100 walls with redstone torches then reloading reveral times. Since 1.2 Build 5 none are falling.

(note from original poster)
This issue IS STILL affected by ALL current versions of minecraft pocket edition, there are loads of issues that being highlighted like issue 11477 that help to re-produce this error. I have now stopped using minecraft necause anything redstone I make breaks due to said bugs... which until fixed leaves this game a complete waste of my time.
I reported this 8 months ago and you have ignored it... wrong move,.. even my kids have stopped bothering to play it now.

Listen to your community... go fix issue 11477 and maybe you will find the answer to this issue too. bye all.

I went back into my world (who wants to be a millionaire) after closing it in frustration and it is clear that the whole chunk has dropped the torches

the next exit/re-open caused the rest of the torches to drop off in the other chunks either side

Okay. I reopen the ticket then. Thank you for your detailed information.

I disagree, this happens even if no where near a chunk edge, and it's random, does not always happen. I tried leaving the area as described in -11477 but this did not cause the issue, exiting the game several times was the only way to reproduce this.

To spend a week building mass redstone circuits only for it to break is not funny, in fact it's so annoying I'm wondering why I even bother even playing this game and then the issue is dismissed after informing you!!! please escalate and fix this ASAP.

I believe this is a duplicate of MCPE-11477. Yell at me (or any other moderators) if you disagree.

Managed to reproduce this... create a 16x16 wall of blocks with redstone torches attached to sides of those blocks, build another wall in front of the redstone torches using redstone lamps as shown in image.
Behind I Created a repeater loop with a button to light the bottom row to see if it was anything to do with the on or off status but this test proved this is not relevant
