 Description

When spawning a group of skeletons in a Infinite World, they would appear to hold fishing rods instead of bows. I've tried reproducing the bug in a Flat World, but nothing happened. It may have been a one-time thing as I've tried this again in another Infinite World, but again, nothing happened.

I think it's fixed.

Cannot reproduce. Comment below if you can reproduce the bug. Also make sure that all texture packs are not in use to confirm this.

I had the same problem. I was however using a custom resource pack made by me that ONLY had the shaders changed. The .json files of that pack still sid that q skeleton should spawn with a bow. This happened only by dhance even with the same resource pack where skeletons spawning with fisning rods went on and off for bot spawn eggs and natural spawning.

(Edit) The bug comes every now and then, Skeletons and Strays are affected and when they appear they'll sometimes hold a fishing rod.

Personally I think this could be used a rare feature

Only on the default one.

Could you confirm if you were using any texture packs?
