Xperia Z5
The game lags horribly most the time. Especially in the nether. And when looking towards a forest that's full of trees. Or when looking at a bunch of mobs (especially the animal farms). Getting 15-35fps most the time on infinite worlds. I don't think a 2.0ghz octane core cpu and 3gb of ram aren't good enough for MCPE. Or are they?

This has reocurred and has become progressively worse through 1.1.0.1, 1.1.0.3 and 1.1.0.4
HTC One M8, I concur with @Aspergerian this is not related to hardware performance.

Most of the lag seems to occur in the Nether and partly in the Overworld;

Oak/Birch Forests = Somewhat Noticeable.
Jungles = Heavily.
Dark Oak Forests = Very Noticeable.
Oceans/Deep Oceans = Very Noticeable (Chunk updates are terribly slow).
Taigas/Cold Taigas = Very Noticeable (Cold Taigas are heavily affected).

The End isn't that much affected (slight FPS drop every now and then, but not horribly).
