 Description

Redstone can be placed on blocks which is not consistent with previous behaviour or other platforms.

In the 0.15.90.2 Beta it can be placed upon Glass.

Also, it can transfer a powered redstone signal downwards.

Affects 0.15.90.8 (0.16.0 beta build 5). I also discovered that all rail types can also be placed in glass, as well as all pressure plates, all buttons, tripwire hooks, and levers. Torches & redstone torches can also be placed on the side of glass blocks. (Previously in 0.15.x and in the Java edition they could only be placed on the top.)

Affects 0.16.0 beta build 4 AKA 0.15.90.7.

-I think this should be merged with MCPE-16497.-

EDIT: Actually, you know what, I don't think these issues should be merged. They're not as related as I thought at first, and should probably be dealt with separately. Nevermind.

i mean a vote for it to be a feature that the devs might consider adding _

@wakafu mafuyuu: The vote button is a way of saying we think the bug needs attention, whether the response be WAI or needs-to-be-fixed. There is no WAI-vote button, because that decision belongs to the devs.

wait what is the vote button for?? do we have Work as intended vote button?

You know what? This actually seems okay to me. I think this is one of those instances where perhaps the redstone rules should be changed. Why can't we place redstone on glass in the Java and Console Editions? I like the idea of a convenient way of sending a redstone signal vertically down using cheap, easy-to-obtain blocks that makes far more sense to me than MCPE-15742. Honestly, the rule where you couldn't place redstone components on transparent blocks and such always annoyed me, and I never understood why that was a limitation in the first place. Plz mark this as WAI, devs!
