 Description

I placed a gravel block several blocks distance from the ground to fall on stairs. Despite falling "through" a torch, this worked without issues. However, when the stack reached to directly under the the previously placed torch, and the the point of the next block falling ONTO a torch, the newly placed blocks began disappearing.
This also applies to most other half blocks
*by falling, I mean being placed more than one block above the torch/sign/slab

That happens in PC too... And only on slabs that are touching the block below it.

Now its fixed in 0.8.1, sand/gravel now drops when falling on "half" blocks

Comment by Patrick Andersen [ 05/Jun/13 ]

The problem isn't that it's disappearing, the problem is that it's not dropping the item when it does.

Comment by Alexander Williams [ 18/Apr/13 ]

Evidently it's not... Or it would be marked by now

Comment by Jeremy Beach [ 18/Apr/13 ]

its sopost to do that

Comment by Luis Robles [ 17/Apr/13 ]

Hey Jeb, Johan or Aron, this is one of the issues that its annoying me in 0.6.1

Comment by Alexander Williams [ 11/Apr/13 ]

Just because it happens in pc doesn't mean it's supposed to.

Comment by Kivi Freak [ 11/Apr/13 ]

Ehmm.. this is normal. In Minecraft PC sand and gravel also disappears....
Why is this confirmed?

Yes, but not relevant to topic...

In the next update, when there are buckets, the nether reactor should give lava filled buckets for those without lava on their seed. Or, the bottom of the two layers in the nether reactor base could maybe be turned to lava source blocks. That would be great.

The sand falls through the sugar cane, but disappears once it "hits" the ground. The sugar cane is not affected

Comment by Alexander Williams [ 08/Feb/13 ]

Yes. Gravels speed greatly increases at the one netherbrick block

Comment by Luis Robles [ 08/Feb/13 ]

In the image, if the sand/gravel falls to the fence door/gate, the gravity animation will be weird s:

How?

Comment by Luis Robles [ 08/Feb/13 ]

In The first image, the Netherbrick ítem means that The animation Of The falling sand/gravel are VERY weird!!!

I tested all The Half Blocks and here is The result:

Ok, not new issue (see duplicate issues), but still, only one picture in this case is needed. 😀

Comment by Alexander Williams [ 05/Feb/13 ]

Just add say all that in the comments area, or maybe create an issue. No need to use pictures to communicate in that fashion. The 202 kilobyte picture is very helpful, but all the there's just take space. This looks like a new issue may be needed.

The photo with the sign on the hand was taken by me
