 Description

I am unable to open MCPE anymore.

Device Information:
Device(s):
Amazon Kindle Fire HDX 8.9 (3rd Generation)
Android Version(s):
Android 4.4.3

I am unable to test any more devices--as the rest are deployed for beta testing.

rplatham update2: please try removing the resource_packs folder and deleting options.txt. If that doesn't work, try a clean reinstall as below.

rplatham update: Please try a clean reinstall as follows:

  1. uninstall MCPE
  2. backup your MinecraftWorlds folder (if you want to save your worlds)
  3. delete the com.mojang folder
  4. reinstall MCPE
  5. run MCPE and if it works restore your MinecraftWorlds folder

If these steps do not fix the problem, comment below with your device make/model, Android OS and any other relevant details you can provide. Thanks!

Delete all file data on /games/com.mojang/minecratpe

not to need to backup world,simple way.

Comment by Ryan Crick [ 12/Sep/16 ]

All you have to do is delete the com.mojang folder and open the app again. Make sure to backup your Minecraft worlds. No uninstalling of the game needed.
