 Description

Water breathing doesn't increase the distance in order to see underwater as compared to no water breathing. In one of the photos I've attached, The player is standing directly in front of an Ocean Monument. You can barely see the Monument from a short distance. If you were being attacked by a guardian from long range, you wouldn't be able to see the attacker. This is a HUGE problem!

I really don't want to compare this with the PC version BUT you can clearly see everything in front of you (in the other photo) with the water breathing enchantment. From the distance I was standing, I was able to see the whole monument in all it's glory. In MCPE you hardly see anything!

Attached is a related issue MCPE-17092 around 0.15.90. Water texture filters allowed better visibility but the visibility wasn't consistent.

This is also an issue with the Respiration enchantment. Please see MCPE-17717

I can confirm that the console version (Before "Better Together" update) visibility underwater is up to par with the PC java version. This really needs to be addressed in the Pocket version or you would simply be adding a new bug to the console version.

It was corfimed by me because in mcpe beta build version 0.16.0 i can see in water on mcpe version by using potions night vision and respiration helmet but on offical mcpe version
0.16.0 I can't see in water when I wanna find an ocean monument it hard to see by range in water.

Added a series of screenshots that shows a comparison of the different effects vs Java.

Mega_Spud That's just it, I don't see an increase in visibility when just using water breathing. I was using night vision and water breathing in combination at the time. As a correction; I have the same visibility as if I didn't have water breathing. It seamed liked I could see a little better but that was actually just the effect of the night vision. Sorry for the mix up.

Water Breathing Potion, according to the wiki:

Prevents the oxygen bar from decreasing completely. Also slightly increases visibility while underwater.

Respiration helps. Sadly water breathing potion doesn't seam to make much of a difference from what was expected. I had also combined water breathing with night vision. According to the wiki combing night vision and water breathing together will give you the best visibility. All I see is blue water in front of me. No visibility. You should at least be able to see the ocean floor below you.

Try a respiration 3 helmet, this greatly improves your underwater vision, just as it does in PC.
