Summary:
When using an anvil, no sound is played when you complete the task.

Steps to Reproduce:

  1. Combine or rename items in an anvil
  2. Remove the updated item from the anvil

Observed Results:
No sound is played.

Expected Results:
The sound "anvil_use.fsb" should be played
(For reference, use the command /playsound random.anvil_use @p ~ ~ ~)

Screenshots/Videos attached: Yes

Notes:
This used to be a multiplayer client-side only bug, but affects the host as well since the 1.1.* beta.

Original Description:
I've noticed a bug when connected as a multiplayer client, that certain sounds don't work, a horse or when using an anvil, for example.

Steps To Reproduce:

  • Using an anvil, combine a book with a tool, no sound is played when you complete the action.
  • Ride a wild horse, when it throws you off, it should make a sound, but does not. Fixed in 0.15.90.8

I've just tried combining two fishing rods in the version 1.2.0.2 beta build on Windows 10 and there was no sound when the rods were combined.

Confirmed the anvil sound bug.

Slightly off-topic - I'm also noticing some inconsistencies in the network protocol concerning anvils (I am a server dev) - PE sends container change packets telling the server what's in the anvil, Win10 does not.
