 Description

I'm guessing that the 3d version of Minecraft that allows for a truly holographic world isn't released yet, but even the 2d windows 10 edition of Minecraft is not currently supported on hololens. Fixing this should be as simple as changing the release platforms to include hololens. This will prevent the need for streaming Minecraft over RDP to hololens.

Reopening... can confirm this is still occurring by going to the Store page for Minecraft Windows 10 Edition and seeing that only "PC" is listed as a supported device.
