 Description

After Game crash I load up game again and spawn inside a stone block. Probably the tunnel I was digging before the crash. I do not take any damage, I can't break blocks since the damage screen shaking is too fast though. This happened before in the nether already, but there I could save myself. Loading other savegames or killing mcpe does not help.

Don't see any other way than starving myself to death now and losing all stuff.

Spawning inside blocks had been reported many times but not under these circumstances.

Xperia z5 Premium, Android 6.0.1

I filled another bug report with a title and description that shows clearer that this is NOT A duplicate of the bug linked above.

I eventually died and lost all my diamond shit. Trying to find the stuff, it's exactly like in the nether: the tunnels I dug were not there anymore, stuff is probably gone by now. And I actually did search for bugs before reporting this. It's because I don't think it's the same bug that I reported this. I think the problem is that:

1) the game crashes

  • player position is saved correctly in this crash
  • game progress (i.e. tunnels) is NOT saved in this crash

2) on loading, player spawns in correct position but without the progress, resulting in spawning inside a huge stone area underground with either suffocating or dying from hunger

ok, mark it as duplicate or not, whatever...

Thank you people! My first report, so placed it in the wrong section. Thanks for the correction.

It was a 2 high tunnel, thanks for the other link. I cannot duplicate it here though. Tried placing a block on top of me. No displacement – as far as i can see.

The other time in the nether i was able to break the netherrack quickly. After that I saw that no tunnels were saved. It took a quite while of blind digging until I found older tunnels again. This time though I am inside a stone area. So even my diamond pick will not break the block in time before the shaking resets the digging. I don’t see a way out of this.

Were you in a 2 high tunnel when you crashed out? If so, it may be a duplicate of MCPE-14665

This bug is filed against PC Minecraft, but the description and environment suggest the reporter is using Pocket Edition.
