 Description

When opening MPE from the Amazon appstore app, I get a message saying I no longer have the Amazon appstore app on my device. Obviously I do have it though. With amazon appstore customer support, I have completely removed MPE, and the whole Appstore, then reloaded everything and rebooted my phone. It worked for 3 seconds then I got the message again. I will attach the message, but I don't know if that will help. If you go to amazon and look the game up, check the 1 star ratings. They are growing and the comment will give you more customers with this same issue. Amazon says it's a developer issue. I also have a Android tablet and an Xbox that don't have any problems with the new update.
My exact device is a Blu Studio XL

Amazon has refunded me the full price of the game and other related purchases, even though it was bought in 2014!

I think he was correct as well. I have deleted it and received a refund from Amazon, and purchased it through GPS. It works perfectly now. I just don't understand why it worked fine for over 2 years and then not.
Anyway, thank you to everyone who offered help. I really do appreciate it! 💗

Thanks kem209, lets back up a bit. The device you get the error on, is it an Amazon device? It seems like the answer is no: you have a Blu Studio XL which is a device that comes with the Google Play Store (GPS).

Next question: it seems like you have installed the Amazon App store on this device (so you have Google Play Store and Amazon AppStore) and you are trying to run MCPE from the Amazon Appstore. Is that correct?

If so, I think Evanawesome05 is correct that the game is expecting you to have installed it through the Google Play Store

Hmm... I am definitely not a technologically gifted person, is there a layman's explanation? Maybe if I disable GPS? It's just so weird that the tablet is just fine with it. I really appreciate everyone's help!

I have 0.15.0.1

I believe this only affects devices that have bought MCPE on the Amazon Appstore. I have two Kindles (Kindle Fire HDX 8.9 (3rd Generation), & Fire HD 10), the HDX is running MCPE from the AAS (Amazon App Store), while the other one is running MCPE 0.15.1 from the Sideloaded GPS (Google Play Store). I have no problems.

However, my possible explanation for this anomaly is the GPS is the PRIMARY Appstore, so the "Store" in the MCPE app is trying to send AAP data to the GPS. The app wouldn't check for other installed App Stores-why would it? So it gives up.

(Remember, just a guess)

My brother's kindle is still on 0.15.0 Not sure if that is helpful or not.

Can you confirm the version that you have installed? 0.15.1 build 1 should only be on Android devices through Google Play to users signed up to be beta testers. Beta testing should not be available through the Amazon AppStore. I think you should have 0.15.0.
