 Description

I have a classic sorter using hoppers with a water trough system to move items through the sorter. The latest update seems to have broken the reliability of the sorter as I am losing items. The sorter was working before the update in as I wouldn't lose items.

What I have noticed was that the hoppers now trap items as they pass over it. I've seen the items as it float by a hopper get stuck, then as other items of the same type float by they get grouped or bundled with the first one

@Lucas you may want to make a new report with a video showing the problem. This ticket is >2 yrs old and will not be reopened.

See MCPE-38628 for this issue post-aquatic update.

I am on bedrock through xbox 1. I have recently have the same issue on 14.1.1. The items occasionally get stuck on the hoppers after teaveling 5 blocks (to clearify: hopper line of 8 water flows on top of hoppers guiding items. After 5 blocks once in a while it gets stuck on the lip of the hopper and does not continue to flow down the stream)

MindBlown that response was actually sent long ago (when 15.x was out). Jira for some reason takes a long time to post responses from Emails. His response was an email, I edited out the rest of the response email as it was just emails he had been seny from Jira with this topic.

This kind of hopper behavior is intended. They implemented this to match the model of the hopper and is the same in Java edition. I'm curious though as to how you managed to get a 0.15.x version of MCPE.

Anyway, this ticket is WAI so please stop updating it as it sends an email to whoever is watching the ticket.

Attached is a screenshot of the hopper with stuff stuck in it

This ticket has been resolved as 'Cannot Reproduce' as it has not been updated recently (1 year+)

Please respond and add the current version if you can reproduce this issue.

Here is a better description to what I've seen.
Find a flat area and dig a one block hole.
Put a hopper into it.
Fill that hopper with cobblestone so it won't accept anything but cobblestone.
Drop a stack of dirt on the top of the hopper.
Place a water block nearby to create a water flow over the hopper.
I should see the dirt get washed downstream, but I don't.
If I do this same thing on the console version. the dirt always gets washed downstream.

This is WAI. They added the correct physics for hoppers in this update. Entities can now fall into the hopper. Sorry but your sorter's design may have to be revised.
