 Description

Sometimes zombies or skeletons don't burn up, even when it's almost noon in Minecraft. I believe the cause is that monsters are spawned, but had no attention from the game (they never showed up on the screen). Thus Minecraft became buggy and allowed the monsters to live in the sun.
It is very rare, so evidence is hard to find.

You might want to create a report of that sooner or later, Daniel.

Actually just found the opposite: Mobs burn even WITH blocks above, for example under trees. What i've done:
I made a showcase how to make resourcepacks work in mc10, so i spawned some Strays for showing the texture in faithful32.. I spawned them under trees, they burned. I relogged into the world after they stopped burning, some burned.

Daniel speaks the truth. I have a photo of this bug somewhere, but I can't find it. They do not have armor because this bug is rare to begin with.

Actually they dont. No blocks above them (fresh flat world), mobs not in water, time is noon, no armor and the chunks with them are loaded+they are nearby

Are they wearing any armour when you notice this? Please check up on the conditions mentioned in the wiki page.
