[MCPE-15076] Android Back button opens chat window Created: 08/Jun/16  Updated: 03/Jan/18  Resolved: 03/Jan/18

Status: Resolved
Project: Minecraft (Bedrock codebase)
Component/s: None
Affects Version/s: 0.15.0 Beta build 1, 0.15.4
Fix Version/s: None

Type: Bug
Reporter: Galen Nare
Resolution: Cannot Reproduce Votes: 1

Confirmation Status: Unconfirmed
Platform: Android

 Description

On the Oneplus X (Model number: ONE E1005), pressing the back key opens the chat window as opposed to the game menu. Pressing the back button again does not do anything, making the only way to leave the chat window to be closing the app. I am not aware that this occurs on any other models.

EDIT:
The actual chat button DOES work correctly, but pressing the back button opens a chat window that seems to be only usable if you have a controller. Oddly enough the player can get to the pause menu if they switch out then back in to the app.

Confirmed to be true on the OnePlus X as well (ONE E1005). Having the same button bound to open chat and pause, pause overrides open chat.

Same problem,

Minecraft PE: v0.15.7
Device OnePlus 3 (soft gold)
OS: OxygenOS 3.2.4

Edit: Fixed by going into controller options and changing the pause button, the physical back button is considered button 12 as opposed to 13

I think it's OxygenOS.

Still happens on 0.15.4. When is this bug will be fixed ?

Comment by Kieran McMullan [ 28/Jun/16 ]

A temporary fix is to turn on the on screen nav keys when you are playing and turn them off when done. Hope this helps.
