Place any piston with a slime block on its face and power it. The piston head doesn't move, only when you break the slime block

Oh thanks

I found the cause of my problems, and this isn't a bug, sorry for the inconvenience. The slime block was attempting to push the blocks beneath it, exceeding the 12 block limit

Can you provide a screen shot? If your piston is on the ground the slime will attempt to push the ground exceeding the 12 block limit,.
