Tried Minecraft Bedrock 1.16.0 on Xiaomi Mi 9T and Meizu M3 Note with Logitech F710 gamepad. On both phones triggers are not recognized by Minecraft, but Gamepad Tester detects triggers as buttons BUTTON_L2 and BUTTON_R2. |

I have the same issue with Minecraft Bedrock 1.11.4 on Android. I have the same controller (Xiaomi bluetooth controller) but a different phone (Mi A1, Android 9) My Right trigger works with all other games but not in Minecraft. Every other button is recognized except that one. To clarify, Left trigger works fine, it's just the right trigger that doesn't. |

Sorry but I bought the xiaomi mi a few years ago since I saw that you could play minecraft and when I tried it I realized that the R2 or RT was not working but they had just developed the compatibility so I did not say anything but now many updates have already happened and I see this post and it should be solved but it does not help me to apologize for English because I use a translator |

Same issue on 1.1.0.9. I had to dig into system files in order to change gamepad oem-files. after some research I managed to make R2 work. But this method requires root access. |

As it is not possible (for me) to update Affects Version/s, I just want to confirm that this issue still remains in 0.17.0.1. Please reopen as more people seems to face the same issue with different controllers. |

Issue still exists in 0.15.8.0, Please reopen issue, Bug can still be Reproduced the way Hendrik Kurelid explained 1.Find a gamepad with L2 and R2 buttons (e.g. Xiaomi Gamepad) (buttons, that is - not triggers). I bought 3 Controllers by the time, none of them worked. Can't play the game on GVR. |

The issue still remains on 0.15.1. I can't update the issue in any way, just comment and attach files. Hence I ask someone that can to reopen the issue and add the version. Here is how to reproduce:
Hope this helps pinpoint the issue. |

I am afraid we can not reproduce this bug in the recent version. Please update affected versions if this bug still occurs. |

I have the same issue. I have two gamepads. On my MadCatz c.t.r.l.r, the right and left trigger buttons are actually triggers (analog). Everything works fine in MCPE using that gamepad. However, on my second gamepads, these buttons are buttons (digital). Other games and apps recognize these as buttons, but in MCPE, I can't assign these buttons to any action in the gamepad config option. |
