Weird, weird weird Windows 10 edition bug. I'll say it as concisely as possible:
This bug doesn't affect singleplayer as far as I can tell. I haven't tested for local multiplayer. |

This is marked as a duplicate of another issue, but that one is marked resolved because it's "too hard to change".... Overall, I'd say support for Minecraft's issues is fairly good, however that is coming from the Java edition. I tried playing Bedrock with my friend on mobile recently, and I am appalled by how awful this version is. Major game breaking issues are ignored and the community means nothing. The game even comes with ads built in, even though we already spent money to get it in the first place... I wasn't going to comment, but I hope someday someone actually pays attention to these problems... |

How is this marked as "RESOLVED" when clearly the issue still exists?

The repo steps in James M coment are not the same bug as in this ticket. Steps to repoduce:
Notes: taskmanager shows Minecraft not sending ANY data if minimised, this is probably why we are getting disconnected from the server. Just to reiterate this is NOT the same bug as |

Got the exact same issue. |

This is a specific case of the more general bug that context switching out of the server disconnects all clients unless the server is run on win10 in window mode. Affects Android and iOS too. Please vote for the parent ticket |

I can confirm that this does affect LAN multiplayer (0.14.2 Windows 10) |

1. Start a Windows 10 Edition world / any world (occurs in all modes) in full screen mode - must be full screen. On the Windows 10 Machine, you will see a message "Player xxx left the game" and you will get that message twice for each player. |

Can't reproduce on Minecraft Windows 10 Edition, can you please explain how to reproduce this. |

Though I don't care for this functionality. It may be by design. Local Multiplayer works this way as well. Hosting world on Windows 10 edition with multiple players connected (4 total) from multiple devices (some android, some IOS, various versions). All clients are disconnected when minimized. |
