When I try to load a world on Minecraft for Gear VR the game hangs for a second, then crashes back to the Gear VR menu. This is happening on both my Samsung Note 5 and my Samsung Galaxy S7. Also, when I go through the options in the beginning menu and choose any option that requires inputting text, after hitting enter on the on-screen keyboard the game hangs again, shows the main menu for a SPLIT SECOND with what appears to be a command prompt window there, then crashes back to the Gear VR menu. This also happens on both of my phones. I've tried a lot to troubleshoot, including complete uninstall and re-installs as well as clearing the cache and even clearing the Oculus Home cache; nothing can get the game to start past the initial menu. |

That's up to you. It was technically never solved, I had to find a work around and it took a lot of digging to find. I just wanted to do my due diligence reporting it. |

Should I close the bug? |

With help from a fellow redditor, I found that this bug can be fixed by completely uninstalling the Oculus Home app, then placing the phone into the Gear VR causing it to automatically re-install Oculus Home app. Not sure why, but this fixed my problem. |
