 Description

When a second player joins a Minecraft multiplayer game, and enchants or uses an anvil, experience points are taken from the player as expected. Have the secondary player exit and then re-enter the game, and their experience will be restored to what it was before the enchantment/anvil session.

Surface Pro 4, Server is a user on a Surface Pro 2. 802.11ac wifi network.

You're right MinerGirl98 but that's a different known bug MCPE-10832.

Comment by Shannon [ 20/Aug/16 ]

Its actually not a bad thing.. They need to fix the enchanment table. On the realm the enchments do not change its really annoying. And a level 3 enchanment only gives you 1 enchantment instead of 3. That's bad when you use your diamonds!

This is a duplicate of this: https://bugs.mojang.com/browse/REALMS-91

Could a moderator please update either MCPE-14253 or REALMS-91? Also, version should include 0.15.4

Yea, sorry I just made a duplicate about this. It must be fixed! Or make realms free... either one This is game breaking stuff.

Comment by Curtis Pistorius [ 19/Jul/16 ]

Confirmed in realms. Can enchant, leave and rejoin and all levels are back.

I confirm this. I also add up the following situations:

  • Anyone who connect to a realm can exploit this bug, since the host is not playing.
  • Enchanting or repairing consumes some levels sometimes, but not the same listed in the enchantment table or anvil.
  • Relogging will restore all your consumed levels back.
  • Leveling up will restore all your consumed levels back too.

This has been present for a long time. It doesn't work for the person Hosting the world, but it will work for everyone else that connects to it via windows 10 pc, windows phone ,and android tablets(only tested with windows phone, android tablet, and windows 10 pc.) I would say it's safe to assume it would work with anyone that connects to the hosts world.

Makes getting experience worthless as with this bug you can enchant an infinite amount of books/items, as well as use the anvil to combine just about anything you want without needing to gather any new exp as you just exit the world then reconnect to get all your exp back.

We can see the same effect on our 2 computers running 0.14.2 on Windows 10 in the local LAN. The connected player is on XP level 42 and keeps enchanting pickaxes down to XP level 16. After exit and re-joining the game he is back to level 42.

I found that if you wait long enough, the experience level does get saved and exiting and re-entering doesn't give back the xp.
