Zombies mobs don't pick up dropped tools and they don't put dropped armor on. Skeleton mobs don't put dropped armor on. |

Fixed as of 1.16.0.63. As CrampedSpider72 mentioned, not all mobs have the ability to pick up loot, only a percentage of them do. |

They still do. Remember, not all zombies can pick up loot(much like baby zombies can ride other mobs). Though there is an issue where if they pick up other items(items that are not armor or weapons) and you kill them, they won't drop those items. This also includes elytra. Basically whatever they do not equip, disappears. |

This bug does not make sense as of 1.13. Just tested the newest beta. Since foxes can pick up items, I don't see how other mobs can't pick them up |

After looking in the game's files, there's no behaviour that allows for mobs to do this. This isn't a bug, but a missing feature. |

I think the CanPickUpLoot tag hasn't been added to Bedrock. Though you can give mobs armor with dispensers facing towards mobs. |

Bug confirmed on 1.0.0 tested by throwing diamond swords and diamond amour to like 30-50 zombies and skeletons that spawned from a spawner but not a single picked it up |

This is pretty annoying. According to wiki, having mobs pick up diamonds is the only way to get the "throw diamonds to another player" achievement without having friends. |

I could not get any zombie to pick up an item or get a zombie that spawned with a weapon to exchange it for another one. Tested in MCPE 0.14.2 single player creative (hardest difficulty) on my Samsung Galaxy S6 (SM-G920W8), Android 5.1.1. I've never observed a mob pick up an item in MCPE, so I thought I'd test it empirically. To test I built a bedrock lined 3x3x3 hole, dropped in some items that would be tempting for a zombie to wield (see Wiki) and egg-spawned me a pile of zombies. None picked up the items. I blew them up with TNT (thus the bedrock lining) and repeated about 20 times. None of the zombies picked up items. From this I concluded zombies don't pick up items in MCPE. I'm still uncertain if this is a bug or a feature that's not yet implemented. |

If I remember correctly, zombies don't always pick up items, it's sorta a random chance when the zombie spawns that it can pick up items. |
