 Description

After installing 14.0, while moving forward, I am unable to travel and move up a block with tapping the jump button. Traveling up stairs seems to work fine. Also, while swimming I sink to the bottom unless I hold the jump button. This happens for all old files and any new ones. Both my iPad and my iPhone behaved the same. I installed 14.0 on my first generation iPad and it worked properly, so I deleted Minecraft off of my iPhone and reinstalled it, and now it works properly. The largest file I have on my iPad Air is 58.1 MB.

I could erase and the App and reinstall it on my iPad Air, and fairly certain it would work fine, but I have a few games that has weeks and months of work that will be lost.

This issue works as intended. If you have a request for Minecraft Pocket Edition, please go to the Minecraft Forums -> MCPE: Suggestions.

Ah, auto jump was turned off by default; apparently, I am the bug. Having always used the default settings, I missed. Much thanks! Bob

With the 0.14.0 update, settings that didn't work are now working. These include auto Jump and invert y-axis. If you had messed with these, that is likely the cause of your confusion.

Perhaps you have auto jump disabled

I have run into the same issue. I was unable to get out of the water. Had to switch to creative and fly out. Definitely an issue. I reported as well. Glad you reported.
