Blazes spawner wont stop spawning even at light level 15!
Test: I installed 4 dispenser one block apart from blazes spawn, and added bucket of lava in them, when I triggered the dispenser and lava flowed down, the blazes still didnt stop spawning!

I believe this may still be a glitch when the chunk loads or something.

I have a similar lava lighting system in 0.15.6 and the chunk almost always loads with 1 or 2 blazes spawned regardless of whether the lighting is left on.

I am able to replicate in 0.15.6, I know my lava lighting is on, I remove all blazes, leave the area, and come back and have more blazes. Maybe the chunk is just glitched for me.

I think depressed-pho is right. Having looked into this more, the spawner can be disabled with the correct lighting. In a 9x9 room, any lava as light sources would need to spaced as pictured here:

If my taxicab geometry is correct, then this would give a lighting level of >12 in the entire area, as shown here:

The above layout successfully prevented any Blaze mobs from spawning.

A monster spawner can spawn mobs within an 8×3×8 block volume (8 wide, 8 long, and 3 high) centered on the center of the block (See Monster Spawner#Mechanics), and blazes can spawn if the light level is 11 or darker (See Spawn#Spawn_conditions). Anas ahmed, are you sure the entire 8×3×8 area is well lit to level >11? Attach a screenshot if possible.

I think this works as expected. I tested on MCPC and works the same way. Only sky light stops the spawn.
