When i put a Chest then an item also theres a comparator connected to it then the comp is connected to a block with a torch so it turns off the torch when i remove the items however when i re-join the comparator resets it runs out of power for a few ticks (short)

Try to Build the contraption on the picture quit and re join you"re world the tnt will explode the chest on the item has a 64 diamond so it gives a signal btw

Yay! It seems to be fixed in 0.15.0!

Still affects 0.14.2- this should really be fixed. Dispensers and Droppers are especially affected because they have on/off states so this can throw off circuitry. I have tested this quite a bit. It happens pretty much every time I join the world.

Still affects 0.14.1. (This is personally the saddest fact for me...)

Please note that this bug is severer than it appears. Most if not all redstone contraptions that rely on comparators may malfunction each time you reload your world. This includes hopper clocks, timers, item sorters, and many more. I have disabled most of them in my world due to this bug because I don't want my semi-automatic wheat farm to be washed out every time I reload the game.

Confirmed in 0.14.0 alpha. To see it's not a torch that is causing the bug, I experimented with a structure shown in the screenshot below. The result was the same so the bug is definitely in comparators:

There is a water bucket in the dispenser. The hopper and the chest both have some random items. As long as there is at least one item in the chest, it prevents hopper from pushing items to the dropper. But after reloading the world, an item in the hopper somehow moves to the dropper and activates the dispenser, which means the state of comparator (powered or not) is not saved.
