 Description

If you put the right fuel (Coal in this case) and the item to smelt (Raw Fish in this case) in a furnace, nothing happens and the furnace stays as is. This affects worlds made before 0.13.0 and after 0.13.0.

I haven't tested multiplayer myself, only singleplayer, but it's all fixed for me.

No problem Thanks for listening - and happy bughunting

Thanks for extensive testing, I will add that to the repro steps. I hope it helps with faster fix!

I upgraded Win10 to TH2 (10586.14) on both machines, then copied the new 0.13 world to the server.
When running on the local machine (the Win10 acting as server) there is no problem with the Furnace.
When running on the Win10 client the problem is still there.
Alas it seems this bug only affects Win10 clients, not single player.

And in single and multiplayer both?

Comment by Jack L. [ 25/Nov/15 ]

No I said it works everywhere now. And I mean inold worlds and new.

It works for you in multiplayer? Hmm, I'll try starting a new world in multiplayer to see if this makes a difference :/

Comment by Jack L. [ 25/Nov/15 ]

Hmm that's weird, I just tried and it works.

Comment by Jack L. [ 25/Nov/15 ]

Yes, I have TH2

Comment by Jørn Rønne Gaarde [ 25/Nov/15 ]

Hmm no, don't have the TH2 update. This is Win10 build 10240.
Did some testing.
Started a new world single player on 0.13. No Furnace problem here.
Started my old usual 0.12.1 world on single player. No Furnace problem here either
Started MCPE on my Win10 "server" with my usual old 0.12.1 world, then connected using my Win10 client - this is the way I usually play as my kids play on it too (using iPods). The bug is consistent in this setting, ie. when I right-click to put in Furnace it doesn't register (no smelting, items are lost if you close the Furnace) - and if I just click items and drag to Furnace it works fine.
Could this bug be related to multiplayer only?
I didn't have this problem before 0.13.

reportingwalker12 Yes. I am - other reports suggested it works after a restart. I was not able to reproduce this issue. Both single clicking and shift clicking on fuel and item (wood and cobble) results in smelting in furnace.
Do you both have TH2 update? If you are not sure, please see how to check below:

1. Open Run dialog (WIN key+R)
2. Type winver, click Enter
3. Threshold 2 has Version 1511 […] 10586.0

Ah, that's probably why Aleksandra can't reproduce. Aleksandra, are you using Windows 10 Edition 0.13.0?

Comment by Jørn Rønne Gaarde [ 24/Nov/15 ]

Yes, Windows 10 0.13

Comment by Jack L. [ 24/Nov/15 ]

I can't smelt anything. It doesn't work for me shift clicking or not. Are you using W10 edition to reproduce?

Comment by Jørn Rønne Gaarde [ 24/Nov/15 ]

I can confirm this bug on Windows 10 0.13: If you open Furnace, then shift-click something (ie. wood planks, iron ore or whatever) to transfer the whole stack to the Furnace, the stack seems to be transferred (they appear in the Furnace slots) but the game doesn't register this - and so it doesn't start the furnace process. Worse still: If you close the Furnace the items are lost! I've lost lots of material this way.
Note: If you click and move the stack manually (instead of shift-clicking), the Furnace works fine.
This problem didn't exist pre-0.13.

I can't reproduce this issue. Does it only happen with fish for you? I can smelt everything.
