When I Put down a daylight sensor, I invert it. When it is daytime, sometimes it still sends a redstone signal to the glowstone lamp. |

However, this is not how they work in Minecraft "Java Version" 9.1 and before... The inverted mode is meant to invert the signal, not take the difference and give this as the signal. |

"Works As Intended". Inverted daylight sensors do emit signal even in the daytime. It just weakens the power of signal depending on the in-game time and weather. See http://minecraft.gamepedia.com/Daylight_Sensor#Inverted_daylight_detector |
