 Description

What I expected to happen was...
Mobs will chase you and always face/move directly towards the player (like in the PC version)

What actually happened was...
Sometimes I will move out of a mob's way while it is pathing towards me and it will continue moving towards my old location for a fraction of a second before updating even if we are at the same Y level
More Details: Could this be produced by internal server lag?

Steps to Reproduce:
1 Get a mob to follow you
2 Move sideways while close to the mob without letting it hit you
3 Sometimes the mob's pathing will have a bit of a delay.

Cleaning up all the old issues - please reply if this affects 0.9.3.

Work as Intended, thats the Mob AI behavior in Pocket Edition, i reported this issue and the devs marked it as "Invalid" because that.

facepalm whoops XD I swear that there was a PC version issue ticket for this.

Anyways, I am seeing something like this in the PC edition.

I'm not sure if you're aware that this bugtracker is for the Pocket Edition of Minecraft.

I did say that it was in version 1.5.1 and that I've seen it happen. It can happen to other mobs when it's crowded.

However, I had also noticed that cows don't immediately respond to you holding the wheat even when there are a few, they can take some time.

While the pathing delay in large numbers might be understandable, especially when going for a single target, it's something to look into.

Is this still a concern in the current Minecraft version? If so, please update the affected versions in order to best aid Mojang ensuring bugs are still valid in the latest releases/pre-releases.

I haven't tested with other animals, but there seems to be a bit of a delay with cow pathing when you lure them with food. More noticeable when there are a lot of them.

PC version 1.5.1

This image shows the pathing lag and a server statement that causes me to think this bug is from internal server lag. Usually cases are not as noticeable and once again only last a fraction of a second.
