Oic, yup...sorry thought we were talking about no light where there should have been

Ryan, are you sure? The reporter seems to be saying that there is light where there shouldn't be, not darkness... look at the screen shots (I am getting the issue where there's no light where there's supposed to be on Android since 0.6.0, but that doesn't seem to be what's being reported here).

Thank you":]

Couldn't have put it better

Do, the issue is there is no light where there should be, and when you place a torch it updates

There is light where there shouldn't be and it needs to be fixed, right? That ticket is still open, what's the difference? Even if the underlying cause is different, do you really think this ticket is descriptive enough that we should leave it open?

We really have no idea if it got here from a torch, a world editor, or some other way in this case. If there were more information, it might be more useful.

The lighting is NOT a result of the torch, the torch changes the light state, so when removed, it corrects the light levels.

Torches do NOT cause the problem

This is not a duplicate!

Yea, when I'm mining and he lighting is like that, I just run through my mine and torch/break to fix it

Comment by Alexander Williams [ 28/Feb/13 ]

Yea
😃
This fixes it.

I've had that problem a lot and I just place a torch and the lighting updates for me... Hope this helps

Another lighting issue stated something about lighting resetting when entering another chunk. Is this what some of those screen shots show?

The picture with bedrock was taken by me, and on version 0.6.1. Please update it to affect versions 0.5.0, 0.6.0, and 0.6.1. Thanks!
