 Description

Hello there is a bug about baby zombie villagers; they don't sprint unlike normal baby zombies and baby zombie pigmen

Steps to reproduce:

  • Spawn baby villager with a spawn egg.
  • Make a zombie infect the baby villager. (turning the baby villager into a baby zombie villager)
  • Spawn another villager.
  • The baby zombie villager doesn't sprint quickly when it chases the villager.

Fixed as of 0.17.0.2. (May have been fixed earlier in 0.16.0, but unable to test in that version due to the previously mentioned bug that caused baby villagers to turn into adult zombie villagers instead of baby zombie villagers.)

Unable to test in 0.15.90.8 due to MCPE-17462.

Please reply and update affected versions if you're still able to reproduce this issue.

Confirmed for 0.15.6. (Tested on Windows 10.)

Mega_Spud Yeah I was using a spawn egg to test this, they weren't naturally spawned.

gatharian I see! I think it's the naturally spawned ones that can sprint correctly, having been chased by a few.

Still confirmed in 0.14.3

  • Spawn a baby villager.
  • Spawn a zombie to convert baby villager to baby zombie.
  • Spawn a villager at a close distance.
  • Observe how the baby zombie villager doesn't sprint when running after the villager.

I think this is fixed in 0.14.3

Can confirm this issue in version 0.14.0, 0.14.1 and 0.14.2.

I have tried to close of the villagers with fences, walls, isolate the villages in caves.
I have tried with double villages and managed to even get the population growing and seeing a lot of iron golems spawning only to se all villages disappear in matter of one or two day cycles.
There are no mobs attack, and high light levels.

There are a lot of bugs reported on similar issues and issues when the villagers are walking to far from the village and can't find the way back to the village, or don't enter houses at night which I also can confirm. But it is very difficult to track this issues; some are reported to be solved but the bugs are still there and some are not solved but basically the same issues.

It still appears in 0.13.1

Hi! I confirm this for Samsung Galaxy Note. I noticed that this only happens to Baby Villagers that were turned into Zombies. Other Baby Zombie Villagers run as fast as they should.
