I have exactly the same issue, with a Motorola Moto g5 plus, MCPE version 1.2.3 and XBOX 360 Afterglow controller

I have this problem also, the point of view points up and to the left by default, the triggers act like the x and y axis of the right stick, meaning that if I pull the triggers, the camera angle drops or turns right. Here is what I am using:

I have a nexus 5x phone running Android Nougat Beta.
Minecraft Pocket Edition v0.15.4
Xbox 360 wireless controller with wireless adapter and usb type C OTG cable.

I have the same problem. It still happens in 0.15.1

I have this issue too in v 0.14.1 with:
HTC [Google] Nexus 9 stock Android 6.0.1 with OTA security patches for May 2016 Using a wired Xbox 360 compatible controller from Gamestop branded with GameStop logo wired with a provided USB adapter and plugged into the tablet with a single port 4" USB OTP adapter (Micro USB Male, USB A Female).

It might be that the manufacturer ID and device ID differ a little from the official Microsoft Xbox 360 controller, which might cause Android to load a different /System/usr/keylayout file.
If I play without ever touching the LT or RT it operates mostly as expected (directional pad seems to select in the inventory though). Once touched the axises seem to kick in and the character spins in one direction and looks straight down. Holding halfway down can stabilize this but is impractical.

When I plug this controller into a Mac I can get the following USB details:
+-o Gamepad for Xbox 360@14700000 <class AppleUSBDevice, id 0x100001a27, registered, matched, active, busy 0 (1 ms), retain 9>

Issue persists is 0.14.1.

Comment by Luis Robles [ 13/Apr/16 ]

Does this issue still affects 0.14.1?, if so, please respond

I'm having problems with the XBox 360 wired USB controller as well. For me, the triggers don't do anything at all. There's no response in game with default button mappings, and they aren't recognized when attempting to re-map (selecting the currently assigned button for an action "highlites" it, but then pulling either trigger has no effect, as if I'm not interacting at all).

I'm on an Asus TF300T tablet (with dock). MCPE v0.14.0. I downloaded a gamepad testing app, and the triggers were recognized (and functional).

Yes it still does on 0.14.0 beta v1

Does this bug still appear in 0.13.1? If so please respond.

Hi can you please identify what type of XBOX 360 controller you have and how you have connected it to your Galaxy Tab A?
