Put the summary of the bug you're having here

What I expected to happen was...:
it should work properly, saying the player name.

What actually happened was...:
i had to use no punctuation to make @p work

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Get command block
2. IN the command block, type /say hi @p.
3. try it without punctuation /say hi @p .
