 Description

What I expected to happen:
TNT dispensed into solid blocks should behave like other entities and 'pop' out, upwards if all sides are covered.

What actually happened:
Visually, the above seems to happen, but the explosion happens as if the TNT is still inside the block.

Steps to reproduce
1 - TNT dispensed into solid block with water above which it should move into, stopping the explosion from damaging blocks. Entire apparatus blows up. (Pictures 1-3)

2 - TNT dispensed into effectively blast-proof obsidian surrounded by blocks. No water above so explosion should destroy blocks. No blocks are actually damaged and player is not effected by the explosion. (Pictures 4&5)

No response for over a year.

But is it still an issue in 1.8.1 Pre3?

This is just graphical/client side. Actual tnt entity is inside a block.

Is this still a concern in the current Minecraft version 1.8.1 Prerelease 3 / Launcher version 1.5.3 or later? If so, please update the affected versions in order to best aid Mojang ensuring bugs are still valid in the latest releases/pre-releases.

Confirmed in 13w09a/b/c

Can also confirm. Maybe the TNT block you see coming above the block is just a 'ghost' block (like boats) and maybe TNT is a enitity like a mob which stucks in solid blocks

Confirmed
