If you sneak up to an edge of a block, first release movement key, and then release shift, you appear to be over the edge. This is what it looks like: |

The rectangle player hitbox (F3 + B) is still slightly over the edge of the block, but since the model of the player mob is not rectangular, this is working by design. |
