Multiplayer server, in the Overworld at night usually mobs spawn, right?? Wrong! It freaked me out... And n one seems to notice.... No hostiles spawn in the overworld, nether is fine as far as I know... |

No, started a new server with a blank server.properties gives: gamerule doMobSpawning
2013-02-11 15:26:53 [INFO] doMobSpawning = true
and in server.properties after stopping the server: spawn-monsters=true
Slap your admins. |

it was FALSE, Our server admin thinks the snapshot auto set it to FALSE, It's good now. Thanks very much guys. |

Also, are you sure you're not on Peaceful mode? |
