 Description

Put the summary of the bug you're having here

What I expected to happen was...:
I thought the piston would detract then be pushed by the other piston

What actually happened was...:
The piston disapeared

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Put down a piston facing upwards
2. Then place another piston sideways on top of the piston facing upwards
3. Place a 2 blocks tall wall at the side of these with 1 block inbetween
4. Place torch on the top block facing the top piston and redstone dust right under the torch
5. remove the torch an the top piston disapears
6. The same thing happens with sticky pistons

It's should be a graphical glitch, does it still have a hitbox?

Comment by CharlesC [ 04/Mar/13 ]

Verified as fixed in 13w10a, thanks Jeb.

Comment by Manuel [ 03/Mar/13 ]

Occurs also when pistons not facing in the same direction

Comment by Joas [ 03/Mar/13 ]

@Manuel: Exactly!

Comment by Manuel [ 03/Mar/13 ]

easy way to reproduce

Comment by Joas [ 03/Mar/13 ]

Another confirm here. Occurs when stacking pistons facing the same direction. Bug did not occur in previous releases. The "missing" piston doesn't drop either.

This might be related to MC-2023 and/or MC-9990. Vertical pistons push-then-pull and blocks ending up in item states (i.e. break).

Comment by Daniel [ 02/Mar/13 ]

Confirmed in 13w09c. I've seen this bug a lot.

Comment by CharlesC [ 02/Mar/13 ]

I have seen this one too.

Comment by Pete Frisky [ 02/Mar/13 ]

A couple piston issues fixed and another won jumps up. Trouble with this one is it's not just a graphical glitch, they completely vanish from game.

Comment by Jed Harvey [ 02/Mar/13 ]

If you try this type of thing with TNT it lights the TNT, blowing your awesome redstone piston machine to... item drops.

Comment by Jed Harvey [ 02/Mar/13 ]

This also happens with other blocks when opposing pistons push them at each other, except the block disappears. Pistons cant get pushed by others though, that is true.

Comment by James W [ 01/Mar/13 ]

Confirmed. Bug seems partially timing-dependent, though I haven't been able to confirm that yet. It does seem to happen when in a stack of pistons, there's upper pistons extended, and the piston on the bottom gets a signal – the piston above the bottom one disappears.

Comment by Manuel [ 01/Mar/13 ]

cannot reproduce this way, but the bug is there e.g. in double piston extender

Confirmed, very close related to MC-9342.
