Confirmed for 1.7.1 - note that it no longer appears to happen in your hand, but still happens for dropped items and items in item frames.

Comment by WolfieMario [ 10/Jun/13 ]

Confirmed for 1.5.2 and 13w23b.

Also, this applies to equipped armor when you view your inventory. If you take damage, only the front face of the armor will turn red, but all faces of your actual body will turn red. This only seems to apply to your character in the inventory screen, not in third-person or multiplayer, however.

In 1.5.1

also in 1.5.

That kind of texture make my game to lag so much.

Comment by Kumasasa [ 04/Feb/13 ]

Confirmed.

That´s the term that I was locking for "unenchanted"

Comment by Sealbudsman [ 04/Feb/13 ]

Both when in-hand, and when dropped in Fancy Graphics, will it do this.

Comment by Sealbudsman [ 04/Feb/13 ]

Not only swords. Anything enchantable.

Comment by Sealbudsman [ 04/Feb/13 ]

I can confirm. In 1.4.7, the 'edges' of the sword will glisten with enchantment just like the 'face' of the sword.

In 13w05b, the 'edges' look unenchanted. They don't glisten.

This just might have something to do with the recent fix of [6951].
