 Description

When reconnecting to a server, any placed masks are reverting to the skeleton texture. When popped, they show the proper mask icon. When replaced, they have the correct texture. After logging out and back in again, they're set back to the skeleton texture. It seems the client may not be reading the object data correctly or completely.

Edit: The effect seems to occur randomly, effecting random masks in the area. Some or all in the loaded chunk may be changed. Attached screenshots: Masks inside my house were unchanged, but the ones outside were. Popped and replaced the same items in the second picture.

Sorry Tim, but you're wrong. This was occurring on my personal vanilla minecraft server. Absolutely zero mods whatsoever. It has, however, been resolved since the 1.4.3 update. I simply forgot to mark it. If you've found a plugin that's causing this issue, then that's a separate issue. You should certainly report it to the creator.

Resolving then as this ticket relates to a modded or 3rd party client/server.

  • Any non-standard client/server build needs to be taken up with the appropriate team, not Mojang.
  • Any plugin issues need to be addressed to the plugin creator.
  • This site is for addressing issues related to the base unmodded MineCraft.

I found out that the issue was caused by a plugin and not by Minecraft itself

Is this still a concern in the current Minecraft version? If so, please update the affected versions in order to best aid Mojang ensuring bugs are still valid in the latest releases/pre-releases.

Can confirm this!
