Max, this was fixed in Pre-Release 1.5. |
| Comment by Max Langhof [ 13/Mar/13 ] |
|
Why is this considered "resolved because fixed"? The latest snapshots still have this bug, and i doubt mojang will fix it with the current status... |

Still not working in 13w10b. |

Reproducible in 13w10a. |

|
Still reproducible in 13w09c. |

Works fine now. Both side inputs and hopper inventories update comparators without a problem. |

Sorry but here is not the place to talk about it nor does it pertain to this bug so please move your frivolities to the forums, I really don't want this to be overlooked because of irrelevant comments. It is a major bug in my opinion. |

I would like to see this feature re-added because it was great |
| Comment by Randal Jones [ 01/Mar/13 ] |
|
Oh no! I loved that "feature". It's very useful: A hopper, a comparator output and a power source all attached to a dropper or dispenser made it fully-automatic to empty all of it's contents without a clock--at three per second it is (was) faster than a clock can run, in fact. I'm sure I read that listed in the wiki as a feature/use of a comparator with a dispenser or dropper but there is no mention of it now. It worked yesterday when I was using 13w07a and now you are saying it has been "fixed?!" That's unfortunate. |

No, that bug was fixed, see |

Comparators do not cause droppers to fire continuously in 13w09c. Is this the same bug? |
| Comment by Josiah [ 01/Mar/13 ] |
|
Still busted in 13w09c. |

|
i can confirm this too. |

Still exists in 13w09b. |

|
yep i can confirm this one, failing in 13w09b too |

Reopened. |

This bug is back in 13w09a. It behaves exactly the same way as it did in 13w05a and b. The subtraction mode works as it should but, while in normal mode, the comparator does not update if the side inputs update. |

Can a mod reopen this issue? It is not 100% solved. To reproduce in 13w07a, I used a comparator to check for the inventory of a hopper. If you toss 1 item into the hopper, the comparator sometimes goes on, sometimes it does NOT. After updating the comparator it will always turn on. Inluded a screenshot for proof. |

I think the description is misleading. For me the output strength is updated sometimes but not all the time. |

This bug doesn't seem to have been fixed in Snapshot 13w05b |

Confirmed. Subtraction mode works fine, but doesn't update in compare mode. |
| Comment by Tails [ 31/Jan/13 ] |
|
Confirmed. |

I can confirm this, but only when the comparator is in compare mode, subtraction seems to work just fine. A comparator does update after the signal strength changes on the input. |
