 Description

A Minecart chest sent down a U-shaped rail route with one 'dead' or unpowered powered rail to stop the minecart at that point made it all the way to the other end of the rail line. The unpowered rail was outside of the max render distance.

What I expected to happen was...:
The Minecart moves along the rails until it hits the unpowered powered rail and then stops/brakes.

What actually happened was...:
The unpowered rail was outside of the render distance and the minecart did not stop on it, instead it continued all the way to the end of the rail track, which was back within render distance.

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Create a U-shaped rail track going from the top of block stairs, leading to the bottom and back up the other side of the stairs, using powered rails every other rail to power the minecart chest up either side (depending upon the direction it is going at the time)
2. Remove the power from one of the powered rails on one side of the track, outside of the max render distance from the top of the stairs.
3. Set minecart chest off from the top of the stairs and see if it makes it back up the stairs on the opposite side of the rail track.

I tried to reproduce your issue, and it didn't work. I set it to go down a slope, and it didn't stop the minecart.

Stat padding eh? What stats would those be.

I posted another clone when a call is closed without correctly and thoroughly going through the problem. Simply saying 'This works for me' or 'cannot replicate' is NOT bug-fixing, it's stat-padding.

Minecart sent when un-powered rail is within render range. Minecart stops regardless of which way it is going. Speed is constant (more or less) due to regular boost rails the same on both sides of the track.

Edit
Minecart does NOT stop going down due to increased speed. However, if outside of render distance, it does not stop going up either, which it does when within render distance. The initial comment was incorrect.

Unpowered block is on the right-hand side, just out of render distance.

Single player - Survival
A single, unpowered rail was enough to stop the cart anytime it was within visual range going in either direction. The rails were going up/down a set of stairs with a space above of 1 block. Cart only stops when out of render distance. Is the attached screen shot showing a test track where the unpowered rail is outside maximum render distance? As this was the main constant for tests done.

Minecarts can pass over unpowered powered rails if they have enough speed. The attached image shows a loop that does not stop the minecart.

Cannot replicate. Please provide additional information and screenshots, so we can better help with your problem. Was this a single player or multi-player/LAN game?

Might actually be related to the fact that one unpowered rail might be not enough to stop minecart. Does it stops if you follow the cart?
