No, you were understood just fine. The piston being manipulated by another piston has to be given time to retract first or it will not be movable. Whether convenient or not, this is working as intended. |

Intended. You are not supposed to be able to pull pistons that are not yet completely retracted. It takes 2 redstone ticks for a piston to retract, so you'll need a 2 tick delay between the deactivation of the pistons. |
