 Description

I started this world with 1.3.1 and found a desert temple. I updated to 1.4.2, deleted the region file that contained the temple and re-visited it. As I approached the temple I heard an explosion. The TNT trap in the temple went of before I reached the temple. The TNT was probably ignited as soon as the chunk was generated.

For general reference, the resolution of this ticket has been reviewed by Mojang and left unchanged.

Have Mojang ever explicitly confirmed this to be intentional game design?

Gotcha. That's somewhat likely too since I'm on peaceful but have spawn-monsters on so they blink in and out of existence like crazy.

There is always the possibility that a mob spawned in the low light levels inside the temple where the pressure plate is. If it walks on the plate, the trap will trigger.
