 Description

The bug is created by moving the window outside of the screen.

Steps:
1. Go into chat mode/pause menu.
2. Move the game window outside of the screen (The center of the crosshair has to be outside of the screen.)
3. Unpause/Cancel chat/Type something in the chat. (The game is now frozen.)
4. To unfreeze you need to ALT+TAB outside of the game.

I could resolve this by uninstalling "Gaming evolved" by AMD.

It may turn out to be a launcher or library bug that got fixed, because it stopped happening while we still were in MC 1.8.1. I haven't experienced the problem in almost a month and I'm doing everything the same way that it used to freeze.

Freezes confirmed for 1.8.1. Using a multi-monitor set-up I often switch between MC and a browser and some times the game freezes. The game continues to run in there and renders everything when on a server, but it doesn't respond to clicking or anything.
In regular C Windows programming this happens when the window event callback function doesn't respond. I wouldn't know the Java interface for that, though.

That's how to do it. Just make sure the crosshair isn't visible on the screen.

I tried doing this in the latest snapshot again. 14w08a and still the game freezes. I will post a screenshot soon.

Confirmed with 14w08a, Windows 7-64 / Java 7U51

Reopened, apparently not always reproduceable.

No longer able to produce in MC 1.8

Confirmed.
