 Description

I was messing around with the dropper block and dispenser block at the same time and I noticed that they both act the same way and fire any item out at the same speed. I thought the dropper block was suppose to drop items not fire them. as you can see in the screen shot they are both being fired out at the same time and at the same velocity and distance.

to recreate just make a wall with a dispenser and dropper block one on each side of the button, lay down some tracks under both the dispenser and the dropper block, and but mine cart with hoppers in them under both the blocks. you will see what I mean by they act the same way.

Thanks Tails. I moved it down one block and it puts the items in the hopper cart. how ever the name "dropper block" is misleading.

1 other difference : The Dropper have the whole time the same shot distance

Yes that's what they're supposed to do, I pointed out the difference in the first comment.

I downloaded the snapshot after the sneaky changes were implemented - Droppers still 'throw' the items the same way that a dispenser does.

Move the dropper down one block.

the image dinnerbone posted, as well as the name both imply that it does exactly what jonathan said.

however, it doesn’t DROP items, but throws them.

I did a fresh install and the items are still being fired over the cart with the hopper in it, and not dropped into it.

Try redownloading the Snapshot, there were sneaky changes.

Sorry tails but it is not doing what you say it should be doing.

Well Tails I will see if that is true, but some thing seems fishy with the dropper. I will test it out and see if what you say is true or not.

Difference between Dispenser and Dropper: Dropper drops items like Minecarts and Water buckets and puts Items into containers.
