the day light detector just turns the redsstone off on time 14000 not on 12500 (night time).

This is working as intended.
The Daylight Detector has an analog output, means the output level of redstone signal strength is depending on the light level.
In your example the piston will iin fact switch off at a redstone level of 1 = time > 13680 and time < 22340

If you want to switch it earlier, make either the redstone track longer or put a comparator in between.
