 Description

Well, every time I go near or read a sign, different signs are black from different angles, and some are just normal. (Note: The Screenshots in the night were in Multiplayer, and the ones in the day were in Singleplayer, I also tested them in both day and night, same thing.)

What I expected to happen was...:
I expected the signs to be all normal, with their text.

What actually happened was...:
What actually happened was that some of the signs are black, and depending on where I was, the signs were either normal or blackened.

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Open Minecraft 1.3.2/1.4.2
2. Craft or Get a sign.
3. Place or Read the sign.
4. Notice some of the signs are blackened and some are normal.

I told you, this doesn't happen on minecarts/chests, unlike they do. I'm pretty sure MC-206 and MC-559 have the same problem, but I don't, I can post more pictures about the "normal chests/minecarts" if they are what you need.

I'm going to mark this as resolved again

It's (hopefully) more manageable to have these linked together, and to have one open "reference ticket" (MC-206) and keep most of the conversation there. If this ticket and MC-559 are marked as duplicates of MC-206, it will be easy to find them again from there, but they won't drown out other stuff as much, because they won't be open.

tl;dr: I think we want to have only one ticket open per issue, no matter how good the tickets are.

I think that the root of the problem is probably the same. This is also referenced in MC-559. Mojang is aware of many of the lighting issues and are actively working on fixes. I'll reopen this issue because you have kindly included your graphics card specs. That may help.

This doesn't happen on minecarts/chests. So I probably have a different problem?

Agreed that this is a duplicate of MC-206. Thank you for the report!
