Confirmation Status: Unconfirmed

 Description

Sorry my bad spelling, I do not know much English.
— --- —
The bug started when I saw that typing /give Gerottinho 95 (locked chest) crash the game. (On 13w02a.)
After that, I can not create maps. Appears Out of memory or crash.
I thought that only happened in 13w02, and then went back to 1.4.6.
Only now something very strange happened.
When I tried to create the map, after a while, appeared Out of memory, and the screen went white increasing very fast and i closed the game very fast.
I know it could also be the popular "Not Responding" of Windows 7, but was totally white.

About files of the crash, they were not saved in the folder .Minecraft (bug?)

-----Update------

New attachment, which I found on Minecraft.
It's about the "Out of memory".

I changed to 1.4.7, but the problem continues.
That was not solved to me.
About the last comment, I see about it and it seems that it was this.

You're starting 1.4.6 in an unsual way (probably without the default launcher) so that the JVM gets too less memory:

13w02b:

JVM Flags: 3 total; -Xbootclasspath/a:/System/Library/PrivateFrameworks/JavaApplicationLauncher.framework/Resources/LauncherSupport.jar -Xms512M -Xmx1024M

1.4.6:

JVM Flags: 0 total;

So the memory issue is your fault, the first issue is as Tails wrote a duplicate of MC-6900

BTW: 1.4.7 is out.

Locked chest crash is duplicate of MC-6900. About the out of memory crash that supposed to be happening in 1.4.6, happens in 13w02b. Please force update and check if the crash happens again.

You have Java 1.6 with the Update 37 (1.6.0_37) this is outdate, plz update of the aktual version 1.7 update 10 (1.7.0_10)

http://www.java.com/en/download/manual.jsp

247MB ram for java is to low , copy the minecraft.exe in to .minecraft folder and then make a *.bat file with this:

@echo off
java -Xmx2048M -Xms2048M -jar "%AppData%\.minecraft\Minecraft.exe"
exit

How much RAM have yours PC?

replaced depending on 2048, for example you have 2gb than give 1gb so edit to -Xmx512 -Xms1024
2GB -> 2048
1GB -> 1024
500MB -> 512

Du hast Java 1.6 mit dem Update 37 (1.6.0_37) das ist Uralt, bitte updaten auf die aktuelle version 1.7 update 10 (1.7.0_10)

http://www.java.com/de/download/manual.jsp

247MB ram für java ist bisschen wenig, copyre mal die minecraft.exe in dein .minecraft ortner und dann erstell dir eine *.bat Datei mit folgendem inhalt

@echo off
java -Xmx2048M -Xms2048M -jar "%AppData%\.minecraft\Minecraft.exe"
exit

Wieviel Ram hatt dein PC zu verfügung ?

ersetz jenach dem wie viel du hast die zahl 2048, z:b. bei 2gb nur 1gb zuweisen alsp -Xmx512 -Xms1024
2GB -> 2048
1GB -> 1024
500MB -> 512
