| Description |

After a few moments in my world, it crashes and gives me this report. I have older versions of this world, back from over 2 months ago, and even when I open those up in the snapshot it crashes with the same error. The world however loads fine in 1.4.7 and below. |

I could not find any existing issue that contains any of the crashes mentioned here. However, all of the crash reports that you have provided are from a modded version of Minecraft. Please try to reproduce the crash in a vanilla (non-modded) version of Minecraft and attach that report or this may be dismissed as being caused by a mod. |

No, didn't do mc edit. Too scared. Just went back to 1.4.7 and as I said, all new chuck error - slap bang in the middle of my base wiping out everything valuable... The weirdest part is that it has generated new stuff underground but cut out anything above ground. Anyway. That is that. Just seeing when I last backed-up my hard disk... hopefully won't have lost too much... |

Aw... That's bad news |

Don't know what I just did... but I've really done it now. I went back to 1.4.7 and it's generated a giant block of stone and abandoned mineshaft in the middle of my base destroying ALL my storage area... and above it sliced my grinder in half. Oh well... Goodbye world  |

I don't think it will crash your world if it's in a chest: stuff in a chest is only accesed when opening the chest. It's only those placed somewhere in the world nearby the place you crash, that you have to get rid of. Just select a big area in mcedit and replace all "'unused brush" with air. Or you can also open the world in 1.4.7 and go bunch all dead bushes. Make backups if you're afraid to delete your world. |

I have a horrible feeling that the offending 'unused shrub' is tucked away in random chest in my main storage area and it'll be hard to edit out. I'll give it a go if that is what worked for you - though I bet i end up deleting half my world by accident. Anyway. Thanks. |

Drev, you could try to mcedit "(unused) shrub" out of your map and see if that fixes it. Hopefully you have the same issue as me because else I don't think they have enough details yet to fix your issue. |

Don't suppose you know if this is fixed in new snapshot? |
| Comment by Jonas Busseniers [ 31/Jan/13 ] |
|
I did some testing with mcedit: removing certain blocks out of the area and check if that fixes it. Found it! At least for me, the issue was "(Unused) shrub" (as called in mcedit), item ID 31:0. The tall grass version of Dead bush. |

This is still happening in 13w04a |

Sorry, before I head off for the night - as John says above it seems only to affect particular maps/world locations? I only have a problem in my main world. No problems on some other old ones. No problems on new maps I'm generating either. Cheers. |
