 Description

A hopper can now pick items from the other side of a double chest, but it doesn't seem to work as well with trapped double chests.

When you place a chest next to a trapped double chest with a hopper underneath it, in the same way as shown in the added image, the hopper will be able to take items from the normal chest (to which it isn't connected), but is unable to take items from the left side of the trapped double chest (to which it is connected).

This is really annoying.

I have seen this problem with two single chests next to each other (one trapped, one regular) with hoppers below each feeding into two furnaces. Filling one chest with iron ore, and the other with raw chickens, I've found chickens in both hoppers.

All items from the hopper end up in the left chest.

Demonstrates trapped chest connectivity.

When a hopper tries to take items from a chest or place items in a chest, I first checks for adjacent chests of the same chest and tries to place/take items into chest in this order, North, East, then the chest the hopper is connected to, West, then South.

The bug is trapped chests think of normal chests as their own type and will thus try to place/take items from those adjacent chests.

A large chest is still two smaller chests but they interact when they are opened two allow one two view both inventories at once. The arrangement shown in the screenshot demonstrates this. Note that normal chests do not interact with trapped chests like the trapped chests interact with chests.

Setup is as follows:

Two hoppers are adjacent to each other without being connected to each other.

One has a normal chest source and the other has a trapped chest source; which hopper has which source seems to be arbitrary.

When items are added to the trapped chest they are correctly transferred to the hopper that it is connected to and then on to that hopper's output.

When items are added to the normal chest they are incorrectly transferred to both the adjacent hopper and the correct output. The transfer seems to alternate, resulting in an observed, approximate 50/50 split between the correct and incorrect destinations.

The same thing happens when the two chests are underneath. The hopper sends any items in it to the normal chest next to the trapped chest that's actually beneath the hopper. EDIT: For whatever reason, this site isn't letting me upload additional screenshots so I'll just leave this http://i.imgur.com/zwjHU.png here. Someone else can upload it correctly if they can. This image is a configuration that doesn't work. Any item placed in the hopper ends up in the left chest.
