 Description

The lava texture appears to be rendering incorrectly in 13w02a. Observed in both the default texture pack and a custom one with no lava texture.

Steps to reproduce:
1. Observe lava in 1.4.7. Take a screenshot.
2. Install Snapshot
3. Observe lava in 13w02a.

I realize this could be an intention change to lava, but since there was just a change to the texture pack system I thought it prudent to report it.

Compare the two screenshots. In the reported snapshot the lava is extremely orange; perhaps there was an overlay texture that was merged that is no longer being applied as a result of the change.

I don't get it. What's wrong with the texture ?

Comment by DarkWolff [ 11/Jan/13 ]

Yes, the doesn't create procedural textures anymore, but the lava texture is now rendering wrong (unlike the clock or water in the reference). Since only one of the six textures referenced is wrong, I'm not sure it's truly intended.

Working as intended.

See http://www.minecraftwiki.net/wiki/Texture_Packs#Textures_for_Blocks_and_Items_in_Minecraft_1.5

The game will also no longer create procedural textures for fire, lava, water, portals, clocks or compasses. Instead, the sheet image for these blocks and items need to contain a pre-drawn animation
